Bourke Street
This week we are highlighting Melbourne, in honor of their upcoming Melbourne Festival, held October 10-26, 2014. The Festival is a premier annual celebration of the arts in the fields of theater, dance, visual arts, opera, and music. Events take place all across the city, including on Bourke Street, featured below. Bourke Street is one of Melbourne's best-known streets, traditionally known as the entertainment district as well as a major retail shopping hub. It is also home to the Bourke Street Mall, Melbourne's main pedestrian mall and one of the city's main tourist destinations.
