The 16th Street Mall is a pedestrian and transit mall in Denver, Colorado. Over a mile long, the mall runs along 16th Street and is home to over 300 locally-owned/chain stores, over 50 restaurants, and the Denver Pavilions, a shopping and dining destination with a movie theater.
The Mall provides excitement for all the senses and much to see and do. Street performing is very popular, from musicians to dancers to comedians. Getting to and from the Mall is also easy, thanks to MallRide, a free shuttle bus service, which provides connections to and from the light rail. The accessibility combined with great retail and restaurants - featuring interesting window displays and the lovely sounds of performers - creates a unique commercial public space.
